Comon chicory - Cichorium. A native of Holland. The Wild chicory is related to the chicory/endive family, and the plant's roots can serve as a substitute for coffee. But of course, this native species is mainly meant to show off its lovely light blue colour in your garden. Grows best in calcareous soil Attracts a lot of bees and butterflies. In the Netherlands, it is appropriately nicknamed "Road Warden" because it often appears along roadsides.
